Motion and Voice A.I. Kiosk at KFC
We collaborate with KFC in the past 6 months and now we are pleased to launch a new interactive ordering system “Virtual Buddy” at their Admiralty Branch, along with the ordering app on April 20th.
During a press interview with Ravel Lai (regional IT and digital director for the Jardine Restaurant Group), he points out that Hong Kong people wants to have similar ordering process when it comes to the concept of self-ordering, this is the main reason KFC implement this interactive ordering system customized been implemented.
“Virtual Buddy” is an interactive ordering system integrated with Intel® RealSense™, a gesture-based human-computer interaction technology, it can detect even finger movements and lets users virtually ‘grab’ the meal they want. An animated, virtual Colonel Sanders will guide customers through their order process on a transparent OLED screen, equipped with Creative CrystalVoice microphone and Holosonic.
Audio Spotlight Speakers. At the checkout page, customers can choose the payment options between Visa Paywave, Mastercard Paypass Apple Pay and Android Pay.
Self-ordering app allows users to pre-order and pay on their mobile device, then collect food at the branch for dine-in, this service is available to 27 branches at this moment, and KFC has plan to expand this service to all branches in Hong Kong.
